Apprentice Inside Wireman
Commercial-Industrial Electrician is a more
generic occupation title for this highly skilled electrical
worker. This five year program covers literally everything
"inside" a customers property line. Power generation,
distribution, utilization, as well as alarm, lighting, communication
systems, environmental control systems, process control systems;
virtually any electrical or electronic system found in today's
modern building or factory is considered an Inside Wireman's
scope of work.
This award winning apprenticeship is registered
with the United States Department of Labor and the Ohio State

once the benchmark hours are realized your raise takes effect,
period.
Within a few weeks of starting their apprenticeship
a new apprentice inside wireman is provided with a paid forty
hour orientation during which they receive an OSHA 10 hour
safety course designed for electrical workers, a National
Safety Council CPR class, and a National Safety Council first
aid course. Additionally, new apprentices receive instruction
on proper tool selection and care, electrical color codes,
job structure, basic electrical distribution and hands on
activities in conduit bending and wire pulling. This provides
the new apprentice with the tools to be safe and effective
when placed in their first on the job training assignment.
