Interview Process
All qualified candidates will be interviewed by a selection committee made up of individuals who are stakeholders in the particular apprenticeship classification in which they are interviewing. Each selection committee consists of six members, three employer representatives from the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. and three labor representatives from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 683. Each interviewer will score each candidate from 0 to 100 using education, interest, attitude and personal traits as criteria. The six individual interviewers scores are then averaged, this figure becomes the candidates ranked score. It is the ranked score that will determine when an apprenticeship opportunity will be offered to an individual candidate. All interviewed candidates are advised of their status shortly after the interview.
